Hi!! My name is Wendy, and I do have an alias, Sporty in Suburbia, for those of you who have been my readers, thanks!! and to any newcomers, welcome and I hope that you enjoy reading my blog.
This is me with my beloved Brian, my rock and the person who absolutely cracks me up more than any comedian on TV or the movies, he is an absolute cut up!!
Please allow me to tell you more about myself, I am 46 years old and have been married to my my wonderful husband Brian for twenty one years. We do not have children but are the doting aunt and uncle to six nephews and five nieces (the youngest three of which are 1 month old triplets!!)
I am a major sports fan, hence my Sporty In Suburbia blog, namely the Mets and the Jets are my teams but i truly enjoy both baseball and football and am a lifelong student of both games. I love Fantasy Football and truly enjoy managing my team through Yahoo sports.
On a personal note, my mid life change is here and it has me royally freaked out but I am coping the best way I can on a daily basis so if anyone has words of advice i appreciate it and if i can help answer anyone else's questions, I am here for that too.
These are my brother's three children, he is deceased, long story, but Alec, Abrianna and Addison are beyond loved my their Aunt Wendy and Uncle Brian. Here they are holding Christmas stockings handstitched and sequined by yours truly, labor of love, but look at those proud faces!!
I work full time, and am currently working on my Associates Degree, yes you read this correctly, I did not go to college after high school, just Secretarial School at Grace Institute and did not pursue higher education until after I started working closer to home as I commuted to work in lower Manhattan for fourteen years.
My high school classmates are still very dear to me close to 30 years later and they are a major support system for me, and I would not be half the person I am without them and their love. Here are Brian and I am front and center (he just HAD to jump into the picture to be surrounded by all of us beautiful gals :)
I am adventurous, independent (to a fault) and there is nothing I won't do for a family member or friend who needs my help, no questions asked.
